From what we observed, he had spent his life confined to a small crate, surrounded by 35–40 other dogs, with little opportunity to experience the world beyond those four walls. He lived day after day sitting in his own urine and feces, with the constant barking of his companions around him. He had never known the comfort of a home, the joy of a soft bed, or the simple love of a family. But Chance is resilient. And now, he has his second chance.
