Meet Gigi! Three years on the streets and more litters than any dog should ever have to raise, and somehow Gigi is still nothing but soft, gentle sweetness. She's a beagle mix in the 35 pound range with a quiet, observant nature. Good with people, but a little shy at first, as you'd expect from a dog who had to figure life out the hard way. Give her a minute and she settles in, leaning into kindness like she's been waiting for it. She's excellent with other dogs and takes a lot of comfort from them, so a home with a steady canine companion would suit her well. That said, survival mode doesn't just switch off overnight. She's a flight risk, which means a securely fenced yard is not optional. Not "we'll keep an eye on her", not "we have a tie-out", but an actual, solid fence. She knows how to take care of herself, and that includes knowing how to leave. What she needs now is the opposite of everything she's known so far: stability, patience, and a home that keeps her safe while she figures out how to just be someone's dog. Gigi is incredibly dog-friendly, affectionate towards adults, beautifully house trained, sleeps in her crate without making a peep and is not afraid of storms.
