Roy is an energetic 10-year-old who thrives in active environments. He loves people and enjoys being at the center of attention. While he may initially prefer exploring on his own at the shelter, he will likely become more engaged in a loving home as he decompresses. Training should be a delight, especially since he adores treats and already knows the command 'sit.' Adventurous by nature, he’ll benefit from walks with a harness. When it comes to playtime, Roy does well with select dog friends who match his linebacker-type playing style—so dog introductions are essential. He might prefer to be the only dog in his future home, and he must meet any resident dogs before adoption. Please note, Roy is looking for a cat-free home. The ARL's commitment to understanding each animal individually shines, as their primary breed identification is often just a guess based on visual cues. Roy qualifies for the 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program, which allows you to see how he fits into your family before finalizing his adoption. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
