Dupree arrived as a transport from Oklahoma, thrilled to start a new chapter in the Pacific Northwest. At roughly 6-7 months and around 42 pounds, he considers the ladies in his foster home his safe haven. Though a bit shy with men, he warms up quickly given a gentle approach and some treats. While his exact breed mix remains a mystery, he's likely a blend of Great Pyrenees and German Shepherd. Expect him to grow to about 60 pounds, but that's just an estimate. Dupree is great with other dogs, enjoys playful interactions, and would likely do well with gentle kids. Unfortunately, he sees cats as something to chase, so a feline-free home would be best. He's getting the hang of leash walks, and his crate training is progressing nicely. His energy level is moderate, and while potty training is on track, he will need continued supervision as he adapts to life in a loving home. Dupree is vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm tested negative. His adoption fee includes neutering at our vet in Southwest Portland when he’s a bit older—this helps his joint development as a large dog.
