About Poppy
Poppy is a charming tripod who has faced significant challenges but is ready to find her forever home. After spending two months in foster care, it's clear she blossoms in a loving environment. This sweet Great Pyrenees puppy has congenital abnormalities, which means her future adopter must be financially prepared for her special needs. Poppy underwent an amputation of her painful front leg and has been adjusting well, but her shorter front leg means she may experience mobility issues as she ages. Despite her challenges, Poppy retains the spirited personality typical of a Pyrenees. She's affectionate and adores meeting new people, always seeking attention. Poppy travels well and enjoys car rides. She gets along with cats and is learning to appreciate chickens as companions rather than playmates. While she interacts well with many dogs, she can feel a bit overwhelmed by large, rambunctious ones. It’s important for her new owner to introduce her to new dogs gradually.
