Banjo is an engaging 3-5 year old, 86-pound black Labrador Retriever looking for his forever home before September 12. He's neutered, heartworm negative, and has all his vaccinations up to date. Imagine Banjo as a song you can’t resist tapping your foot to—playful yet soulful. He brings an effortless charm and a big heart wherever he goes. Smart and agile, he thrives on play, especially in games of fetch, where his impressive recall for his name and whistle shines. Banjo balances youthful curiosity with the calming presence of an old soul. He’ll follow you around with a curious pup’s spirit but also knows how to settle beside you and enjoy simply being close. He is good with other dogs and cats, friendly with adults, and while there’s no history with children, his gentle nature suggests he'd adapt well. This well-mannered boy is housebroken, crate trained, and ready to be a loyal companion. Banjo was originally found as a stray and has been in a shelter setting before being kindly fostered. Unfortunately, his previous family can no longer care for him, so he’s looking for a place to settle down and call home, once and for all. Currently fostered in Kokomo, Indiana, Banjo is ready to find a place where he can thrive, play, and give love.
