About Ridley
Ridley is an 11-month-old Anatolian Shepherd who came to us from a large dog hoarding situation. While he was cared for, he missed out on normal socialization. As a result, Ridley is still figuring out how to interact with humans and new environments. He’s a sweet dog at heart but can be shy around unfamiliar faces. Patience is key with Ridley. He needs time to assess new people and situations, and attempting to rush him can lead to frustration. However, once he feels comfortable, you’ll see a delightful side: he becomes affectionate, playful, and attached to those he trusts. Ridley gets along well with other dogs and might benefit immensely from a confident canine companion to help him navigate the world. Standing tall already, he’s poised to become quite a large dog, so a securely fenced yard is essential. Any children should be older and calm, as loud noises can overwhelm him. Ridley isn’t looking for someone to “fix” him. Instead, he needs a patient and understanding adopter who can help build his confidence at his own pace. In return, he’ll offer loyalty and deep affection—he truly is worth the effort. Ready to find out if Ridley is a good fit for you? Apply online today!
