About Rufus
Meet Rufus, an energetic and loyal boy who's eager to find his forever home. This playful pup had been with his family since he was just 8 weeks old but now needs a new active family as his previous owners faced health challenges. Rufus is friendly and gets along well with both people and animals. In his foster home, he's shown a good rapport with dogs and has been respectful of their space. He interacts well with resident cats indoors, though he might be tempted to chase a running cat outside! Rufus has been around children and would thrive with older kids who can match his energy for adventures and play. He is house and crate trained, and walks nicely on a leash, although he may pull if distracted by interesting scents. Car rides are a learning experience for him; he's become carsick in the past, so an empty stomach might help him feel better during rides. Though Rufus is a medium-small dog, he has a big voice and loves to announce any neighborhood activity. Full of personality and life, heβs best suited for an active family or couple who can offer regular exercise and companionship. With plenty of love and attention, Rufus is ready to bring joy to his new family. This lovely boy is waiting for someone ready to share adventures. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
