Greta is a resilient Black Labrador Retriever mix with a devoted, nurturing presence. Rescued while pregnant and facing the world on her own, she handled adversity with dignity. After giving birth in the shelter, Greta raised her pups in a warm foster home before watching them find families of their own. Now, Greta gets her chance to discover life as her own dog—no longer just a mom, but a beloved companion ready for her next chapter. Despite having limited vision in one eye from an old injury, Greta moves through life with poise and assurance. She is happiest right next to her humans, soaking up gentle pets, following her foster mom everywhere, and offering steady companionship. Her joys are simple: cuddles, toys, nylabones, and long outdoor sunbathing sessions. Greta does well with her canine foster siblings and is both house trained and crate trained, making her transition into a new home smoother. Leash walks aren’t her favorite—she can be reactive to other dogs while leashed—but she plays well with others off-leash and enjoys time in the yard. A fenced yard would be her dream setting but isn’t required. Greta’s loving nature and tender spirit shine brightest in a home where she gets plenty of affection. If you’re seeking a loyal companion who’s overcome tough odds but never lost her gentle heart, Greta is waiting to meet you. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
