Charlie is a beautiful, affectionate young dog seeking a patient family ready to help her build the confidence she’s been developing. She was adopted as a puppy but faced an unexpected turn when her owner had a serious accident, which cut short her early socialization. After returning home, ongoing medical issues meant she missed crucial experiences that would help her grow into a confident adult. Now, Charlie is thriving in a loving foster home where she has stability and the chance to engage in confidence-building training. She's already making great strides and shows fantastic potential. Charlie adores other dogs and would flourish with a confident canine companion. She's also cat-friendly, crate trained, house trained, walks beautifully on a leash, enjoys car rides, and loves hiking and new adventures. While she does well meeting people outside her home, Charlie can feel unsure when new individuals enter her safe space. With patience and continued positive training, she's learning that she doesn't need to be afraid. Her adopter won’t be alone in this journey; she's already working with a trainer, and support will be provided. Charlie will do best in a calm home without young children. She seeks someone who understands that trust takes time but knows how rewarding it is when that trust is mutually earned. Like her siblings, Charlie deserves a loving home where she can blossom.
