About Flora
Flora is a playful and energetic Carolina Dog mix looking for her forever home. At three years old and weighing around 46 pounds, she thrives in a moderately active environment that offers plenty of outdoor playtime. Flora loves to wrestle and be chased, making her interactions with other dogs delightful, especially with canines of similar size and energy. She enjoys long outdoor sessions playing fetch, sunbathing, and even birdwatching. Flora has shown some leash reactivity and requires slow introductions to new dogs. With training, she has made progress but will benefit from positive reinforcement as she can easily become spooked by quick movements and unfamiliar faces. Although she cherishes the 8-year-old child in her foster home, she is understandably nervous around new children and may prefer an adults-only household. While fully housebroken, Flora has shown some anxiety in a crate but has done well when left out unsupervised. She adores snuggling and is affectionate, often seeking comfort during thunderstorms. Flora's ideal adopter is someone who is around often, enjoys active walks, and is willing to continue her training. She may fit into a home with no other pets, or with a calm and balanced dog. Be ready to provide the love and attention Flora so deserves; she rewards with unwavering companionship. This energetic sweetheart is just waiting to bring joy into your life.
