Meet Muffin, a charming little Yorkie mix located in New York City. At around 10 years old and weighing approximately 12 pounds, Muffin was found as a stray and brought to the shelter in poor condition. After spending time in the shelter, it was evident she needed special attention, so she was placed in a loving foster home. Muffin has a large mammary tumor and faces additional health challenges, including an enlarged liver and heart. Surgery isn’t an option due to her age and health, but she still has a joyful spirit. She loves to be petted, follows her foster everywhere, and responds brightly when called "Mama". Short walks make her happy, and she even trots along when the mood strikes her. Muffin is housebroken and gets along well with both dogs and cats. She is seeking a hospice adopter who has a yard or easy access to the outdoors where she can bask in the sun, sniff the grass, and enjoy her days without the burdens of stairs.
