Mama Poppi has dedicated her life to caring for others, but now it’s her time to be cherished. After wandering onto a compassionate family's farm while pregnant, she arrived with her five puppies. We suspect she has experienced this before, but now she deserves the nurturing she has given so freely. Though she’s learning to trust people, a patient adopter will help her feel secure in her new home. Mama Poppi shows progress each day, especially when belly rubs come into play. She enjoys neighborhood strolls and walks nicely on a leash, and she is starting to embrace the joy of life. While she’s still adjusting to new faces and furry friends, a little love will go a long way in helping her transition away from motherhood to a life of comfort and joy. Mama Poppi is available for adoption and also part of our foster-to-adopt program for homes within two hours of Chattanooga, allowing her to settle in as you determine if she’s the right fit. She’s currently in a foster home in Chattanooga, TN, but transport can be arranged to various locations across the continental United States.
