Dragonfly is up to date on vaccinations and generally friendly, getting along well with children, cats, and other dogs. He is currently located in Pottstown, PA and is excited to find his forever home!
About Dragonfly
Dragonfly is a charming little pup with a past that no young puppy should ever have to know. He and his sister, Firefly, were born to Mama Butterfly, who was found living outside under dire conditions in South Carolina. Thanks to a rural shelter that intervened when breeders threatened their lives, Dragonfly and his family were rescued and brought to safety. Now, after several weeks in loving foster care, Dragonfly is ready to find a family who will love him as he grows up. Having enjoyed a safe environment, regular meals, and plenty of attention, Dragonfly has thrived in foster care. He's more than ready for his next step, which is to be adopted into a forever home. He will arrive in Pennsylvania on September 2 and is available through our foster-to-adopt program, with applications open until August 26. It's important to note that Shih Tzus require consistent grooming to maintain their beautiful coats and should be watched for breed-specific health issues, including dental and eye concerns. Doing some research on the breed will help you provide the best care for Dragonfly as he embarks on this new journey. He deserves nothing but love and dedication in his future home.
