Cootie has spent seven long months without a home, and she's truly ready for a fresh start. This lovely lady is incredibly social and loves other dogs, often helping staff introduce new arrivals. While she can be hesitant with strangers at first, Cootie warms up quickly with patience and love. Cootie is a blend of energetic fun and calm companionship. She enjoys her zoomies in open fields, rolling in the grass, and spending cozy time with her people. Although she has a playful spirit, she prefers being the only dog at home, seeking all the attention for herself. Cootie is not aggressive, but she has been reactive to cats and small animals, so it’s best to keep her in a dog-loving household without small pets. In her foster home, Cootie has shown commendable progress. She's trained well and has learned several commands, improving in her leash manners as well. Her ideal family will be patient, providing her with the stable environment she needs to continue growing. While at the start she may seem shy, give her some time and love, and she will reveal her affectionate and playful nature.
