At about 5 months old, Ranger was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Port Lavaca, Texas, and is lucky to be in a loving foster home in Southport, CT. He’s a playful guy at 40 lbs, sporting a unique white patch on his chest that resembles Texas itself. Ranger is full of life, with a friendly demeanor that makes him well-suited for families. He gets along well with children, other dogs, and even cats. He loves to play, especially with a 9-year-old boy who visits often. Smart and eager to please, he’s also food-motivated, happily munching on everything offered—including broccoli! Ranger is working on housebreaking and is doing great, already learning to use a doggy door and potty pad. Leash walking? No problem!
