About Rusty

Rusty is a delightful adult dog who arrived at Trails End Animal Rescue after facing some tough times. Previously homeless, he spent much of his life confined to a plastic kennel, which took a toll on his health. Initially battling severe infections affecting his eyes, ears, skin, and urinary tract, Rusty needed months of care before he could be neutered. Now, at 4 years old and weighing around 45 lbs, he’s turning a corner. He has shown remarkable improvement in his social skills, loves playing with other dogs, and is becoming affectionate with people. Despite having a heart murmur that requires monitoring, he is Heartworm Negative. Rusty is a mixed breed, likely a wire-haired fox terrier and Irish setter. He is a sweet, playful companion who will thrive in a loving home that understands the need for patience. Best of all, he comes with free dog training sessions to help you both bond and learn together. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
