Meet Uno. Uno is a large, lovable boy who has made remarkable strides since coming into rescue. At 3 years old, he arrived significantly underweight, but he’s been thriving and truly enjoying life. His goofy personality shines through—he adores water, happily hops into the bath, and enjoys nail trims. Uno loves to explore a yard and is delighted with simple pleasures such as bones and interactive toys like snuffle mats or licky mats. He enjoys the company of other dogs, often showering them with affection. However, when overly excited, he might forget his size and jump. Current training focuses on managing his enthusiasm, particularly on leash, where he may react to other animals. While he’s not fond of crates, Uno is willing to go in when necessary, but he prefers curling up beside his humans in bed. An ongoing challenge is his tendency to drink too quickly; he takes medication to help with this and will need attention on that front. Thunderstorms can unsettle him, but having his people nearby makes him feel safe. Uno is ready to find a forever home that appreciates his quirks and is committed to his continued growth.
