Meet Blueberry Toaster Strudel, the house hippo your heart didn’t know it needed. She spent six months on the streets of Detroit, hiding beneath the porch of an abandoned home. Trust wasn’t an option for Strudel; surviving day by day was her only focus. She even gave birth to puppies while under that porch. Thankfully, a rescue took in her babies, but Strudel stayed behind, fending for herself through harsh weather. One frigid December night, the call for help finally came in. After earning her trust, she found safety. What happened next amazed everyone. The moment Strudel realized she was safe, she bloomed into a big love bug. Today, she’s a dedicated couch potato, a champion cuddler, and an expert in personal space invasion knowing only affection. Strudel is fully potty and crate trained and sat on command on her very first day, clearly having experienced love before life became difficult. Having completed heartworm treatment and healing from an old leg injury, she shows nothing but love without a hint of bitterness. Blueberry enjoys the company of calm dogs and kids but prefers a cat-free space.
