This small, male Chihuahua mix charms everyone he meets with his black and silver short coat. At 8 years old, he is already neutered and up to date on vaccinations. He does great with both dogs and cats and is described as playful and affectionate. Mellow is currently located at Rosebud Rescue.

Mellow is a charming 8-year-old male Chihuahua mix who would love nothing more than a cozy spot by your side—and maybe a few squeaky toys to call his own! Although he once found himself a bit overwhelmed in a shelter environment, he’s been an absolute sweetheart in his foster home, politely enjoying all the attention, handling, and endless butt scratches. Currently, he's doing well on a regular potty routine and seems perfectly content without a crate. He walks well on a leash, and a fenced yard isn’t a requirement for him. With his shiny, short black and silver coat, Mellow looks extra dapper, and his teeth are in excellent condition thanks to what appears to be a recent dental. Mellow is friendly with dogs and cats, making him a wonderful addition to a multi-pet household. For now, he’s available on a foster-to-adopt basis while he awaits a senior wellness vet check—just so you know everything’s in tip-top shape. Long-distance adoptions may be considered within the US after vet clearance, though a meet-over will be necessary and travel costs are at the adopter’s expense. They are waiting with paws crossed!
