Meet Betsy, a young dog with a big heart! We think she may have some Dachshund in her mix, and at around 1 year old and 19 lbs, she’s playful and affectionate. Betsy is currently working on her house and crate training and hasn’t quite mastered leash walking yet. No apartments for her, as she prefers a space to roam. Although she's still a bit shy and learning to trust new people, her foster family reports she's super sweet. She adores belly rubs, neck scratches, and showering her humans with kisses. Betsy shares her foster home with five larger dogs, whom she gets along with famously, and loves to wrestle and play with them. She sleeps with her foster family at night but can handle a crate as well. Betsy tends to be timid when approached but is showing great progress in trusting her humans. She is treat motivated and enjoys her toys, making playtime a joy. She’s ready to find her forever home soon—available for adoption in N Dartmouth on September 11 or possibly earlier.
