Joey is a lively 10-month-old male Puggle looking for an active and patient home to help him thrive. Weighing around 22 pounds, he’s likely at his full size. His previous caretaker made the right choice to find him a better placement due to various challenges. Joey is a charming boy who bonds closely with people but takes a little time to warm up. He does well with children, although a meet and greet is necessary to ensure a good fit. He’s previously lived with other dogs but may have been a bit much for them, given his puppy antics. It’s important for him to interact with a similarly energetic dog. Joey can be curious about cats outside, but with some training, he can learn to coexist with them inside. Joey was mostly house trained in his last home, but has some marking issues that we hope will improve post-neutering and with extra house training. He will need crating when left alone, as he is prone to roaming and should ideally be in a home with a physical fence to keep him safe. Though he’s not a big player with toys yet, he loves water and may find his perfect toy with the right family. Traveling can make him anxious, and he needs time to adjust.
