Meet Elfie! This one-year-old Aussie mix recently arrived at Rosemarie's Rescue Ranch and is already stealing hearts. At 25 lbs, he has a charming bicolor coat and a sweet disposition. Elfie came from a challenging situation, entering a southern kill shelter with his sister after their owner was deported. Elfie is fully house trained and doesn’t require crating, though he could learn to use one if needed. He walks well on a leash but prefers the company of another dog for confidence, making him a great fit for a home with a canine sibling. His favorite activities include playing with squeaky and chew toys, even though he's still figuring out fetch. When meeting new people, he’s cautious but affectionate, particularly with gentle kids like the 10-year-old boy in his foster family. Elfie is quick to learn commands, especially for treats, and is known for his adorable way of catching treats in mid-air. He loves snuggling on the couch and tends to lie against his foster family while they watch TV. Elfie is up to date on vaccinations and has a neuter appointment at the end of August. He’s ready to find his forever home and will surely bring joy and companionship to whoever welcomes him. Think you are the one? Submit an application!
