Meet Flap Jack! Flap Jack came to Real Dog Rescue after tragically losing his owner. At around 7-8 years old, he’s understandably a bit confused and sad as he adjusts to this big change. Having lived with just one person and few visitors, he’s still figuring out how to find comfort in new surroundings. Weighing in at 25 lbs, Flap Jack is currently on a weight management plan aiming to shed about 58 lbs. He doesn’t let that extra weight hold him back; he loves to run and stay active. Once you win his trust, he’ll want to be your constant companion. It's important to note that he is experiencing some separation anxiety, so he needs a patient adopter who understands what he’s been through. Flap Jack can get overwhelmed by children and teens, so he’s looking for an experienced, adult-only home—preferably a quiet one without frequent young visitors. A single person or couple able to provide the time, patience, structure, and love he deserves would suit him best. He may take some time to decompress and learn that his new family is not going anywhere, but once he does, he’ll be your loyal shadow.
