Licorice is one of the gentlest girls at RAR. She arrived with her sister Cocoa from Fayette County in rough shape—emaciated and struggling with an upper respiratory infection. Thanks to the care she’s received, Licorice has blossomed into a sweet little lady who loves long walks and hikes. While she’s not fond of water, she adores giving big hugs and being held close. She confidently knows basic commands like sit and stay, especially if treats are involved. Licorice has a pleasant demeanor but remains shy in a home setting. She’ll benefit from a patient owner to help build her confidence. Licorice enjoys being around her loved ones, though she has a tendency to escape and would thrive in a home where she can be close to family.
