Meet Princess! This sweet girl came to us as a stray, and we quickly discovered she had an injury that kept her from putting weight on her back leg. Our veterinary team determined that her femur had dislocated from her hip. After several attempts to reset it, it became clear that she needed an FHO (Femoral Head Ostectomy) to relieve painful bone-on-bone contact and help her form a comfortable false joint during recovery. Now a few weeks into her healing process, Princess has shown incredible resilience and a gentle spirit. She’s ready to find her forever home where she can continue to thrive. While she’ll need leash walks only for a bit longer to ensure she heals properly, she genuinely enjoys her physical therapy sessions. We can guide her future family on how to assist her at home—it’s straightforward and helps Princess regain her strength. The great news? She’s on track to enjoy a normal, active life soon.
