Meet Sprinkles, a young Chihuahua mix about a year old and weighing around 5 lbs. She came to our rescue from a shelter after being surrendered from a home with more than 25 Chihuahuas. Initially, Sprinkles was a bit apprehensive around people, but it only took a couple of days for her foster mom to earn her trust, revealing her sweet and gentle personality. Sprinkles loves to play and gets along well with other dogs, even trying to coax the older ones into a little fun. She thrives in the company of canine friends and would benefit from having a confident furry companion to help show her the ropes. In her foster home, which includes human siblings and several smaller dogs, Sprinkles is learning to open up and has found her favorite person in her foster mom. Kisses and affection are her way of expressing trust. Potty training is going well, and she quietly stays in her kennel when her foster family is away. However, because she is not yet comfortable wearing a collar or harness, a securely fenced yard is essential for her forever home.
