My name is North, and for the past six years, I've called the streets of Mecca home. I've endured hardships, raising more than six litters of puppies while surviving the heat and challenges around me. When the folks at Desert Paws Sanctuary found me, they aimed to get me spayed and return me to where I had been fed by caring neighbors. But once they met me, they knew they couldn't let me go back to that life. My body tells the tale of my journey, marked with scars that reflect my survival. At about six years old, I finally have the chance to experience what true belonging feels like. While I may be on the larger side, I believe there's a family out there who will appreciate me for who I am, beyond my size and history. After years of merely surviving, I'm ready to embrace life fully. I'm searching for my first real home. Ready to make a difference in my life?
