Artemis is a special needs girl. She is so vivacious and fun and loving that we hope we can still find her a forever home. Artie was born with an almost not existent ( 3mm) urethra. She had tests and a scope of her ureters and female areas. This is a genetic condition and there is nothing that can be done to fix it. Consequentially Artie leaks urine on a regular basis. We try not to diaper her to prevent urinary tract infections, but diapers are doable. We have all tile and we just clean a lot ! The good part is already loves to be outside and play, especially in the cooler months. Since she spends a lot of time outside playing that makes it a little bit easier also. She also a longer coat so a privacy shave/trim of her withers helps too. We know that it’s gonna take a very special person to get Artie adopted with her medical issues, but we will not stop trying because she deserves so much more than we can give her here with all of our other dogs.
