About Artemis
Artemis is a vivacious, fun, and loving Siberian Husky with special needs who’s still searching for her forever home. Born with a rare genetic condition that left her with an extremely small urethra, Artemis leaks urine regularly. Her rescue has explored all medical options, but this is a lifelong challenge for Artie. While diapers can be used, her caregivers often opt to keep her comfortable by letting her spend lots of time outside and keeping tile floors clean. She loves being outside—especially during the cooler months—where her playful side shines. Artie sports a beautiful long coat, and a bit of extra grooming around her hindquarters helps keep her clean. Adopting Artemis will take someone patient and dedicated, as her needs require extra cleaning and care, but her spirited personality and affection more than make up for the effort. Artemis gets along well with other dogs and enjoys children, though she’s not suitable for homes with cats. Her current rescue is eager to find her the committed home she truly deserves.
