Hunter is a delightful 8-year-old Chi/Beagle mix weighing in at 24 pounds, and he’s the kind of companion who will quickly steal your heart. This little snuggle bug is sweet, calm, and playful, often finding joy in belly rubs and burrowing under the covers. His playful antics include diving his head into your legs or the couch, making for quite an adorable sight. He enjoys short walks and does well on a leash, preferring to stay close to his person. With about 15 to 30 minutes of activity a day, he’s just as happy to chill afterward, often getting playful zoomies outside. Hunter has a gentle spirit with other dogs of all sizes, thriving in the company of a canine companion. He's even formed a bond with a much larger disabled dog in his foster home. While he gets along with cats, he might see a running cat as a playful target initially. It's best for his forever home to have older children who can respect his space and boundaries. Coming from a hoarding situation, Hunter is slowly learning to trust humans, making it essential for his future owner to approach him with patience and kindness. House training is progressing; he uses a doggy door and does well when taken outside. He’s currently wearing a belly band as he’s working through some marking issues post-neuter. Hunter has also started to associate his crate with safety, although he may whine at first. He’s needing a home where his gentle nature and boundaries are respected.
