Romeo is a 10-month-old male Black and Tan Coonhound and German Shepherd mix, eager to find his forever home. Weighing around 53 pounds, he's mostly full grown, though he may fill out a bit more. This guy comes to us from Virginia and embodies the charm of a true Southern gentleman. Previously adopted, he was well-loved, attended training classes, and thrived in a family setting. Unfortunately, he was later found as a stray and returned to the shelter. Despite his recent challenges, Romeo retains a solid foundation of training. While he needs reminders about family life, he’s responsive to commands. He’s shown a good start on house training and understands some basic commands. Though he can pull on the leash, a verbal correction brings him back to sit and think it through. This energetic pup loves water and would enjoy activities like dock diving. He’s an active dog who needs an equally active family, one that can take him on hikes, long walks, and will engage him with playtime. Romeo is dog friendly, but a meet and greet is essential.
