About Cheesestick
Meet Cheesestick, an oddly handsome mix of Bull Terrier and possibly Plott Hound or Coonhound. At just 10 months old and weighing about 52 pounds, he's close to grown but still has some filling out to do. Rescued from the hills of Southern Virginia, Cheesestick is a conversation starter, drawing smiles wherever he goes. This joyful and goofy pup embodies liveliness and friendliness, always eager for a good time. Cheesestick is making strides in basic training and leash walking, showing excitement when leashed but quickly learning to behave like a gentleman. He's food motivated and eager to learn, making training a fun venture. While he seems to get along well with dogs, a meet and greet is essential, especially if you have other pets or children—Cheese might be too exuberant for small kids but would thrive with older ones. Although he hasn't adapted fully to home life yet and may not be reliably house trained, Cheesestick is ready to embrace structure and rules. He has a little bit of that puppy energy and ADHD but is responsive to guidance. He has experience with crate travel and did well on his road trip to Ohio, so he’ll enjoy adventures with you. Cheesestick is quickly becoming ready for adoption; if he's caught your eye, fill out an application today!
