Nina has never known the warmth of a family, but that could soon change. She spent her early days behind a fence in Tecate, Mexico, confined to an outdoor kennel with dirt under her paws and no one to teach her about the world. With no walks, car rides, or cozy couches, her experiences were limited. When a sibling fell ill, Nina faced a health scare herself, needing emergency treatment for parvo exposure. Thankfully, she pulled through and has now made her way to California, eager to embrace a brighter future. Sweet and curious, Nina is smart and good with dogs, cats, and children. Though she can be a bit shy with men at first, she quickly warms up with a little time. Nina doesn’t require anything outlandish—just the simple joys that most dogs take for granted. She longs for someone to greet her every morning, for walks and car rides, for toys scattered across the floor, and a beloved spot on the couch.
