After three weeks of fostering, it’s clear that, while Turner is different, he is an incredibly loving and joyful puppy. Turner is both blind and deaf, which presents unique challenges, including some neurological issues like Vestibular and Cerebellar Dysfunction. He loves exploring, often going in circles, and sometimes gets a bit frustrated, yet he still approaches life with enthusiasm. This sweet boy adores treats and chew toys, showing a remarkable sense of smell. He’s familiarizing himself with his foster family's backyard and learning every day. He’s comfortable in his kennel, sleeps through the night, and is actively working on potty training. On top of that, he has begun to make the cutest little barks during playtime in his x-pen. As a typical puppy, Turner has sharp teeth and may nip if he becomes frustrated. His fosters use rope toys and treats to help redirect his attention, and he’s making progress. Turner needs a patient and loving family willing to embrace his unique nature. He will thrive with understanding, consistency, and an abundance of love. Because of his blind and deaf condition, it’s essential that Turner has another dog in the home to guide him.
