Whiskey Rye is a 9-year-old Yorkshire mix whose sweetness shines through his difficult past. Rescued from a hoarding situation, he came to the care of a loving family who discovered he had a bit of a heart murmur and mild kidney disease. Thankfully, during a trip to an emergency vet, a compassionate tech intervened, believing that Whiskey deserved a better life. Currently, he is with Brown Paws Rescue and awaits dental surgery on August 7th for further evaluation. Whiskey enjoys spending time with people, walks well on a leash, and quietly accommodates crate time. He is making progress with potty training and is learning to adapt to family life.
