Meet Ira, an adorable staffie mix puppy famed for his short legs and playful spirit. Ira found his way to the shelter through animal control after his previous guardians couldn't provide the care he needed. Currently in a foster home, he enjoys the company of his two littermates, Lenny and Saul, and loves snuggling with his foster family. Ira is making good progress with potty training and is a true social butterfly, eager to learn and grow. He needs a loving adopter who can guide him in developing life skills and manners, shaping him into the wonderful adult he’s destined to be. Ira is available for pre-adoption, so come meet him and feel the love! After his neuter surgery, he can finally join your family. The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation offers “Pawsitivity Bucks” with every adoption, providing $200 for training with local positive reinforcement consultants.
