Katarina is a 1.5-year-old, 67 lb German Shepherd mix with a big heart. Rescued from an abandoned house, she cared for her four puppies and even took in three more little ones, showing an incredible nurturing spirit. Now that her puppies are safe, it’s her turn to find a loving home. She adores belly rubs, eagerly rolling over to soak up affection. Katarina is gentle and wonderful with kids, making her an ideal family companion. She also enjoys the company of other dogs, needing a playmate or two. Fully house trained and mostly crate trained, she’ll need a heavy-duty crate, as she's clever and strong enough to escape a standard one. However, Katarina does not get along with goats, chickens, or cats, so she’ll thrive in a home without small animals. This loyal girl is ready for a forever home where she can be cherished.
