Meet Zara! This sweet 2-year-old girl weighs about 16 lbs and possibly has some Chihuahua in her mix. She was rescued as a stray and is now thriving in her foster home, where she's diligently working on house training, crate training, and leash walking. Zara is great with kids aged 10 and up, other dogs her size, and even dog-savvy cats. While she has a bright and cheerful disposition, she will need cherry eye surgery after arriving in Massachusetts, which the Brown Dog Coalition will handle at one of their partner clinics in Franklin. It's important that adopters are within driving distance to attend her appointment. Her foster describes Zara as a loving, happy dog who adores being petted and sitting in laps.
