Meet Harp, a delightfully sweet young guy! At just 9 months old, he’s a mix of Australian Cattle Dog and possibly Border Collie or Sheltie, currently weighing 27 pounds. Harp was found as a stray at the Mahoning County Dog Pound, and while we don't know much of his past, he was discovered alongside a small dog who was his close companion and sadly passed away. Harp can be a little shy when he meets new people or explores different environments, but give him a moment, and he quickly warms up, wagging his tail like a pro. He would thrive with another dog to help boost his confidence. Though we're unsure about how he’ll interact with cats, we believe he can adapt to living alongside them. As for kids, Harp would likely do best with those over eight years old due to his timid nature. While we don’t know if he’s house-trained or crate-trained yet, his intelligence should make him a fast learner. Harp enjoys his walks and is getting better on a leash. He already knows how to sit and responds eagerly to training, especially when treats are involved! This lovable pup has a bright future ahead in dog sports like agility or Fast Cat if that’s your thing. Primarily, he’s meant to be a loyal companion and will truly flourish in the right home.
