Douglas has lived in a loving, bustling home since 2016 when he was adopted as a 7-month-old kitten. He's sweet, affectionate, and craves human companionship. A lover of snuggles, he enjoys sleeping close to his favorite person every night. Although Douglas gets along well with dogs and other cats, the constant hustle and bustle of fostering cats has made him feel overwhelmed and stressed. Known affectionately as "Dougie Doodle," he's playful and loves his theme song. Recently, however, he's shown signs of stress, including some spraying in the house. After a vet check confirmed he’s in good health, he started on Buspirone to help with his anxiety. We’re seeking someone with a quiet home, ideally as either the only feline or with one other cat, to allow Douglas to relax and rediscover his joyful spirit. While he's 10 years old, Douglas is vibrant and doesn't act his age. He loves toys and has plenty of playful energy left. He is fully vetted, negative for FIV and Leukemia, and microchipped. His adoption fee is waived as we want to find him a calm environment through a foster-to-adopt situation. Food and litter will be supplied during the trial period.
