About Carol
Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Carol is a resilient feral cat who arrived at the Santa Cruz Humane Society after being transferred by animal control with her litter of kittens. While most of her kittens have since been adopted, Carol remains with her daughter Spirit and continues to thrive in the company of other cats. She prefers the independence of a barn or a safe, enclosed area where she can be herself and live comfortably for years to come. Carol is young, enjoys canned food every morning, and spends her days peacefully with her feline roommates. Although she is not suited for a home with people due to her feral nature, she would be ideal for someone seeking a working cat who appreciates minimal handling. As a Pisces, Carol might have a gentle spirit, connecting best with other animals rather than humans. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?

Questions about Carol
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Domestic Short Hair cats adapt well to a variety of living environments, from indoor homes to barn settings. They do best in safe, secure places where they are provided with their needs and, if feral, thrive in areas with minimal human interference.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Domestic Short Hair cats can flourish indoors or in secure outdoor spaces. Feral individuals, like many working cats, prefer large, enclosed areas such as barns or sheds where they can roam safely.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Domestic Short Hair cats range in temperament, but many are good with children if socialized from a young age. However, feral cats are usually not suitable for homes with young children due to their fear of people and preference for limited human interaction.
