Meet Kermit. Kermit has never met a lap he didn’t think he could fit into. This 15-month-old Black Mouth Cur and Boxer mix weighs 57 pounds and is wrapped in a soft cream coat with subtle tiger striping, floppy ears, and an expression that is equal parts sweet and silly. Calm, curious, and endlessly affectionate, he’s happiest when surrounded by his people—if he thinks you've forgotten him, he'll happily serenade you with his songs until the attention returns. Life has thrown Kermit a few challenges. A previous accident left him healing from an injury to one eye and a slight hitch in his step due to a broken pelvis, but neither of these has dampened his joyful spirit. In fact, he's recently become a hero by donating blood to save another critically injured dog. Kermit doesn’t have a favorite spot; it’s wherever his people are.
