About April
April is a resilient 2-year-old Great Pyrenees and Anatolian Shepherd mix searching for her forever home. Having faced a tough injury that led to an amputation of her back leg, this loving tripod continues to embrace life with gratitude and joy. She embodies a big heart and an even bigger spirit. As a well-trained companion, April is crate trained, leash trained, and house trained. She enjoys outdoor adventures like walks and hikes, always ready to appreciate the simple joys of being close to her people. She's affectionate and loves receiving attention from those she trusts, showcasing her loyal nature. April does best with calm dogs her size, as high-energy small dogs can be challenging for her to navigate. Ideally, she'd thrive in a home without cats. A secure, fenced yard would be perfect for her to explore and relax. Her ideal family understands the needs of a livestock guardian breed and wants to include her in daily life, whether that means a relaxing evening or an outdoor excursion. This lovely girl has clearly shown she can overcome challenges, and now she seeks a family to share her loyal spirit with. If you think you can provide the love and understanding April deserves, she might be the companion you're looking for. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
