About Drummer

Meet Drummer, an 8-year-old wire-haired Dachshund looking for a new home due to unforeseen circumstances. He was deeply bonded with his previous owner, who can no longer care for him as they enter hospice. Drummer thrives in quieter environments where he can enjoy the one-on-one attention he truly deserves. Though he may seem a bit disoriented adjusting back to the rescue, he is a loyal and gentle companion, perfectly suited for someone who appreciates the depth of the bond that Dachshunds offer. Drummer is house trained and gets along well with other dogs. He sheds a moderate amount but is otherwise in good shape. While Drummer is ready to love again, his previous experiences have made him a little wary. He's in Texas, but transport options are available to various states, so don't hesitate to inquire! This could be the start of something paw-some.
