About Maverick

Meet Maverick, a delightful 4-year-old Chiweenie who weighs about 19 pounds. He's currently in the CCPAL Foster Program and is ready to find his forever home. Maverick is defined by his loyalty and bond with his person; he warms up slowly but becomes incredibly devoted once he trusts. He’s potty trained and exhibits great behavior on a leash, making him a charming companion for walks. Maverick faces some food allergies, preferring a Duck and Potato kibble, and he takes Apoquel to manage his sensitivities. Although he gets along well with cats and dogs, he’s not a social butterfly and would thrive best in a quieter environment. He'd be ideal for a senior couple or single person looking for a loyal friend. A little yard for exercise or regular walks would genuinely benefit his well-being. While he can be around older children, a calmer household would cater to his nature. Maverick is in Texas but can be adopted locally or transported to various states along the East Coast. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
