Meet Riggs! He’s a 3-year-old neutered male Weimaraner eager to find his new family. Surrendered by his previous owners, Riggs is looking for a loving home where he can thrive. Having had a tough start, he’s now ready to move forward, embracing life once again. As typical of his breed, Riggs, often affectionately called a “Weimaraptor,” needs a family that can provide both training and ample exercise for his body and mind. Despite his playful energy, he also has a gentle side, seeking to be your perfect companion. Since joining rescue, he has gained some needed weight and is in recovery from his neuter surgery. Riggs is beginning to mingle with other dogs in the play yard, and we look forward to sharing stories about his progress. Currently heartworm positive, Riggs will require treatment. A foster or foster/adopt home during his recovery would be ideal, providing him with the comfort and love he needs as he learns to relax on the couch!
