About Jack Al
Jack is a nearly 6-year-old Brittany Spaniel with striking orange and white fur and the boundless energy typical of the breed. He’s clever, playful, and deeply loyal—very much a “Velcro dog” who wants to be with his people and thrives on attention. Jack is house broken and crate trained, with a solid command of basic obedience, making him both reliable and eager to please. He loves active time outdoors, from walks to field running, but is also content hanging around inside, particularly if he has company. While Jack does have some car anxiety and can become quite vocal and excited in new places, he settles best in familiar surroundings or open fields where he can run with confidence. Jack was diagnosed about a year ago with juvenile cataracts and will likely be almost blind within 1-2 years. So far, he’s adapted extremely well; aside from a little extra caution at night or when meeting new people, his zest for play hasn’t dimmed. The occasional bump or mishap happens, especially around small children—Jack has lived as a single pet with adults and he’s better suited for a home without young kids. He’s always been the only animal in the house and has little experience with other dogs, and none with cats. A stable, adult household that understands his needs and can give him room for safe exercise will set Jack up to flourish. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
