Lucy was found wandering near a rural road in South Texas and was on the brink of euthanasia due to a full shelter. Thankfully, she was rescued by one of our caring fosters who took her in. After three months in our program, she has completed her veterinary care and is now looking for her forever home. This sweet girl does wonderfully with children of all ages and is both gentle and well-mannered. Lucy gets along great with other dogs, cats, and even chickens. She loves to cuddle and is happy to be a couch potato, though she enjoys swimming and playing with stuffed toys as well. Lucy is house trained, leash trained, and has a calm demeanor. She already knows basic commands and comfortably uses a doggie door. At three years old, she weighs 68 pounds and appears to be a mix of Golden Retriever and Great Pyrenees. She's spayed and fully vaccinated, including rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella, plus she is microchipped and heartworm negative.
