River loves playing with other dogs and thrives on human companionship. He’s affectionate, intelligent, and settles into his home nicely after a day of fun. Potty trained and crate trained, River walks well on a leash and is eager to learn. Following guidance and structure helps him flourish, and he has shown his smarts during evaluations with trainers. Currently undergoing heartworm treatment, he’s not in group training yet, but Woof Animal Rescue will cover his professional training costs once he’s cleared, helping him to build confidence and manners further. River enjoys living with high school-aged kids and other dogs, and he would blossom in a home with a playful canine companion. He does best with older, dog-savvy children as he can become mouthy during play. With ongoing guidance, he’s learning to manage his excitement.
