Daisey is a sweet senior lady, approximately 10 years old, weighing around 23 lbs. She found her way to Mostly Mutts seeking a place to call home, and she's been soaking up every bit of love from the volunteers. Now, she’s more than ready to find her forever family. Though she's met some dogs at the shelter and showed no aggression, playtime isn't really her style. If you have a calm dog at home, a meet-and-greet would be great. Her experience with kids remains unknown, so a household with older kids would be best—she wouldn’t want to accidentally bump over a little one. Daisey is soft-hearted and gentle, truly living for cuddles. She lets you know she wants affection by placing her paw in your hand, a sweet request for pets. Bath time is no trouble for her—she enjoys the warm water and even wags her tail during the towel off. She trots back to her kennel post-spa day, feeling fresh and proud. This house dog makes quick work of her business outdoors, eager to return to the cozy indoor life she loves. Though she’s a senior, her heart is young, and she’s looking for warmth and companionship. Daisey is a smart girl, currently in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where she has mastered commands like sit, stay, and come. While Daisey enjoys spending time with people and appreciates the occasional treat, she’ll need support to shed some pounds. Daisey is spayed, micro-chipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She has some moderate tartar on her teeth and bilateral chipped teeth, which aren’t currently causing pain but will need a vet's attention in the future. To keep her healthy, avoiding jumps on and off furniture is recommended because of her long back, typical of a Dachshund mix.
